Greece : Thessaloniki & Athens

Early leaders and writers, most notably St. Paul were Greek-speaking

The New Testament was written in Greek, and some of its sections - Corinthians, Thessalonians, Philippians,

Revelation of St John of Patmoas - attest to the importance of churches in Greece in early Christinity.

Paul's journey began when he was in the city of Troas (Troy).

"Come across to Macedonia and help us." Paul heard in a vision.

He then set sail. After landing in Kavala he made for Philippi, Macedonia.

There, he made his first converts, Lydia and her household. From Thessaloniki he travelled to Athens and Corinth.

Our Pilgrimage to Greece follows the trek of St. Paul from Thessaloniki to Athens,

visiting Kavala, Kalambaka and breath-taking monasteries in Meteora.
